Testimonial & Homeowner Storytelling
At Rewiring America, I led testimonial-driven storytelling from concept through execution, with responsibility for the overall narrative strategy, written content, and structure across video and web. This included shaping the story arc, writing website copy, developing supporting materials, and formatting how these stories lived across digital platforms.
The projects featured here were all led by me and designed to ground electrification in lived experience, trust, and clarity.
Vitalizing DeSoto documents a community-based electrification program in DeSoto, where Rewiring America worked directly with residents to electrify their homes.
I led the narrative strategy and storytelling for this project across video and web. This included producing the in-person videos, shaping the overall story arc, writing the website copy, and developing supporting materials and formatting so the work could live cohesively across platforms. The content was also used for in-person screenings and community engagement as part of the program rollout.
The Vitalizing DeSoto story page is still live and can be viewed here:

Soups On is a brand-forward storytelling project that uses cooking and culture as an entry point to electrification, centered on a chef demonstrating induction cooking in a way that feels accessible, joyful, and human.
I led this project in its entirety. I developed the concept, prepared and structured the interview questions, directed production, and edited the final video. I also shaped the tone and pacing to align with Rewiring America’s brand while keeping the story grounded and relatable.
This project reflects my approach to narrative leadership: clear point of view, thoughtful preparation, and hands-on execution from concept through final delivery.
This Electric House is a story-centered home tour video series designed to test and demonstrate the value of long-form, human-led storytelling across social and web platforms.
I led the narrative strategy and production for the pilot episode, which served as the first test of a new YouTube approach at Rewiring America. I developed the story structure, produced one long-form horizontal video, and extracted short-form vertical clips for distribution across YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
The pilot episode amassed over 11,000 views across channels, became one of the most shared posts during its release period, and retained audiences longer than any previous video published on YouTube by the organization. The series also reached new audiences, particularly younger viewers and women, reinforcing the effectiveness of relatable, story-driven content centered on real people and real homes.
This work demonstrated the value of social-first, narrative-led video and helped inform the next phase of content strategy focused on building a scalable story engine.
